Entrepreneurship & Innovation Workshop Series

Module 3 of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Workshop Series introduces the fundamentals of Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO) — the practical skill of helping your business show up when potential customers are searching online. Using a real business website as our hands-on case study, you’ll move session by session from understanding how Google works to actively improving your own site’s visibility.

No prior marketing experience required. All tools used are free.

What You’ll Learn

Discover how Google crawls, indexes, and ranks pages — and take your first real action by submitting your site for indexing.

Session 2 — Keyword Research: Think Like Your Customer
Learn what your audience actually types into Google and map those search terms strategically to the pages of your site.

Session 3 — On-Page SEO: Write for People & Google
Update the five most important elements on your web pages — titles, descriptions, headings, content, and images — so Google understands exactly what you offer.

Session 4 — Measure, Improve & Keep Growing
Read your Google Search Console data, set up a Google Business Profile, and walk away with a 30-day action plan to keep climbing in the rankings.
