Congratulations to students who have been selected to join the 2025 Cohort of the DeAfrica Entrepreneurship & Innovation Workshop — a transformative learning experience designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators across Africa.

This experiential, problem-based program blends virtual instruction with biweekly in-person peer group collaboration. Learners will explore real-world business challenges, build new strategies, and connect deeply with your local learning community.

This new course will start with DeAfrica Entrepreneurship and Innovation Workshop Module 1: Discovering Your Customer & Business Opportunity (August – September, 2025)

Module 1 involves 29 participants from the following countries:

  •  Gaborone, Botswana
  •  Maseru, Lesotho
  •  Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2 groups)
  • Nairobi, Kenya

About the course Professor:

This workshop is facilitated by Dr. Will Kanyi.

Dr. Kanyi  holds a doctoral degree from Indiana University School of Education in Instructional Systems Technology. He is currently teaching at Kelley School of Business where he primarily facilitates undergraduate courses in Management and Entrepreneurship, Operations and Decision-Making Technologies and First Year College Experience.
